Google decides to stop 6 of their numerous Services

Published by nimsrules at 7:03 pm under Techno Savy Edit This

Okay now can someone tell me whats up with Google ?? Every now and then it comes up with surprises sometimes pleasant and sometimes not quite . The greatest Internet Company of all time has decided to close down some of its services which have failed to get people’s attention , or hasn’t quite been a part of Google’s core buisness. Looks like the recession days has also affected the Big G. They have cut services , left people unemployed , also lowered down Adsense Revenues. But anyways here are the murdered applications and services.

~ Google Notebook :  One of the most used Google’s applications ,  the G Notebook was used to create , maintain and  share notes and clips. New registrations have been ceased but it shall continue to be available for the existing users.

~ Google Video : After acquiring Youtube , Google Video was always worthless to be continued . The popularity of Youtube is such that if you  upload even a single video it shall get more than 10,000 views in a month. And yea people lost quite a bit of interest from the G video.

~ Google Catalog Search : For people who don’t know ,  Google Catalog search was used to search standard US mail Order which had prices printed in them. But it has now been redirected to Google Search itself.

~ Dodgeball :  I don’t know why but this social network which connected millions of users through text messages was included into the black list.

~ Jaiku : A micro blogging service similar to Twitter , Google decided to bring it down and launch it as an open source community.

~ Google Mashup Editor : The online Mashup creater provided by Google hereby concludes the list of the services decided to be called off.

I hope next Google doesn’t come up with Blogger.com called off  Tongue out
